Our signature Fair Trade and organic French roast features coffees from Ethiopia, Sumatra and Nicaragua. These three coffees play off each other's strengths to create a powerful complexity of chocolate and berry sweetness, buttery-rich body, and sweet earthy hints of sweet spice.

Zumi's Espresso

Everything we love in an espresso: stout body and thick creamy consistency enveloping a tangy core of pure coffee essence.
Zumi’s Espresso has just the right balance between the earthy satisfaction of Indonesian coffee and the brightness and spiciness characteristic of the El Salvadoran and Nicaraguan. While it produces the best cup using traditional espresso preparation methods, it also makes a good cup from a press pot or cone filter. The flavors, as in all Zumi’s blends are many, bold and robust.

Zumi's House Special

This is a well-balanced, medium-bodied, lively blend of coffees from Latin America.
The lively, well-balanced flavors of Latin American coffees make House Blend a perennial favorite at Zumi’s. Its medium body and pleasant, satisfying flavor make it a very enjoyable coffee for drinking anywhere, anytime. We think House Blend is a perfect introduction to Zumi’s coffee and for many customers there is never any reason to venture further.

Sherpa Special

One sip of this blend and it's "Ahoooooooo”..... All night long! The superior organic coffees from East Africa, Central America and Indonesia: rich, full-bodied, lively, and spicy, with hints of nut and fruit flavors. Its full body and slightly nutty flavor come from Indonesia's humid tropics; its spiciness from the high mountains of Central America, and its richness and complex hints of fruit originate in East Africa's ancient, volcanic soil. The result is a rich, mellow cup with multilayered flavors. As always, all naturally shade-grown and sun-dried. Try it!

Zumi's Holiday Special

This blend offers good body and an earthy, nutty flavor, this organically grown coffee is a lively, rich blend of Indonesian and Central American coffee with balanced depth of flavor.

Ahab's Revenge

A powerful, yet sweet blend of Timor arabica and powerful robusta. Beware: contains the highest caffeine content of any organic coffee!

Berkeley Shark Bite

A snappin' blend of dark-roasted Sumatran Robusta and Ethiopian formulated for our West Coast friends.

Costa Rican French Roast

A dark, robust mix of Costa Rican and Timor.

Ethiopian

Like most African coffees, Ethiopia Sidamo features a small and grayish bean, yet is valued for its deep, spice and wine or chocholate-like taste and floral aroma. Bold intensity/heavy body and strong "natural charachter" - dry fruit, apricot, berry.

Guatemalan French Roast

A dark roasted bean from the Lake Atitlan region of Guatemala. This coffee is medium bodied, acidic with a smoky flavor.

Italian Espresso Roast

Our high-grown Costa Rican beans provide a rich, hearty flavor, analogous to a good burgundy. Pungent acidity and a robust, full body.

Kathmandu Express

Central America, South America, and Africa. This is a coffee with intense, long-lasting coffee notes. This roast lingers on your pallet, beckoning for a second cup.

Marrakesh Express

The fruity taste of wild-harvested Ethiopian Sidamo blended with the passionate bite of Timor make for a strong and mysterious brew. Feel the rhythms in the corners of your mouth.

Mexican Chiapas

From the Prisch Cooperative in Chiapas, this coffee is dark roasted to develop a full-bodied, bittersweet taste, which will smooth out the flavor and acidity.

Nicaraguan French Roast

A strong and exceptionally smooth cup of coffee from the region of Matagalpa. Medium body and slightly dry.

Obama Rama

A Historic Cup. A strong, bold combination of Colombian with Guatemalan Robusta in velvet roast. Roast we can!

Oromia Blend

The best Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, and Jimma make for a smooth, strong, and floral roast

Papa New Guinea

Full-bodied with a sweet, fruity sharpness, Papua New Guinea is one of the world's best.

Ring of Fire

A dark, smokin' blend of high mountain beans from the active volcanic soils of Indonesia, Timor and Papua-New Guinea. Eye-opening!

Roadhouse Blend

Our truckers wanted a high test, low acid coffee to help them beat that white line fever. Dark-roasted Nicaraguan and Mexican help you go the distance!

Rwanda Bold

Our newest varietal! A dark, strong, flavorful high grown bean from the Rwanda Congo border region. Grown by our friends at COOPAC Cooperative. Transitional Organic, not certified yet (but we are working on it).

Sumatran French Roast

From Indonesia, is probably the most full-bodied coffee in the world. A deep, earthy brew with moderate acidity and yet a spicy verve. Intriguing.

Birdwatcher's Blend

A smooth and nutty blend of Guatemalan Atitlan and Mexican Chiapas coffees from shade-grown farms; giving great taste while protecting critical migratory songbird habitat

Colombian

A full-bodied, complex bean from the Fondo Paez Cooperative in the Cordillera Central near Cauca. The standard by which all other coffees are judged

El Salvador

A refined, medium-roasted coffee with orange zest and pecan pie aromas. This flavorful cup will leave you with a sweet, orange-lasting aftertaste.

Mexican Chiapas

A mellow, medium-bodied cup with low acidity. A great, comfortable cup any time of day. From the Mut Vitz Cooperative, a community in resistance in Chiapas.

Moka Java

The smooth, syrupy taste of Sumatran and the fruity, fragrant qualities of Ethiopian combined for this classic coffee. The original European blend is still the best!
